USDA Gives Industrial Hemp Farming The Green Light

Author: Ryan Tengco

As more and more people realize the benefits of Cannabidiol (CBD), the industry continues to grow by leaps and bounds. As a result, farmers across the entire country will soon be able to grow hemp in an industrial fashion under the guidance of the United States Domestic Hemp Production Program. This program was announced just a few days ago by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). This announcement is a huge milestone hemp industry and for countless farmers who are looking to expand into the fast growing hemp market.

One of the reasons why the government regulators decided to give this program the go-ahead is that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is always looking for ways to provide new economic opportunities for farmers. The USDA knows that farming is an important cornerstone of the country’s economy. The opportunity to grow hemp should provide openings for new products and markets. They have worked hard to come up with a regulatory framework that will work well for this rapidly growing industry. Under the new program, farmers will be able to grow hemp in every state as well as on reservations. This should provide a fair opportunity to all that is based on consistent regulations established by the government.

New Requirements Under the Program

Of course, the USDA has a handful of regulations regarding the program to ensure that it is conducted both fairly and safely. Those who decide to grow hemp will need to obtain a license from the proper regulatory authorities. They will also need to maintain records of their business and have their products tested for THC levels on a regular basis. Furthermore, the USDA is also going to set up rules and requirements for the disposal of plants that do not meet the requirements of the new program. These regulations are going to help farmers grow their hemp in a safe, consistent, and fair manner.

A Rapid Increase in the Demand for CBD Products

One of the main reasons why the USDA decided to go ahead with this new program is that there has been a rapid rise in the demand for products containing CBD (cannabidiol). There have already been published research studies investigating the use of CBD as a treatment option for a variety of medical conditions. Some people have claimed that CBD can help those who suffer from chronic pain, anxiety, epilepsy, and other medical conditions. In some cases, CBD might be used to help families who might not have any other option. Many authorities believe that the potential of CBD to help with these conditions has led to a rapid rise in demand. Therefore, the USDA decided that is was time to give this program a green light.

The Projected Growth of the Industry

As the demand for CBD has grown, so has the industry. Some financial studies have expected the sales of various CBD products to total more than $20 billion in the United States by the year 2024. In addition, the sales of CBD products are various CBD dispensaries rose from six percent in 2017 to 11 percent in 2018, nearly doubling. In this sense, many economic leaders believe that a transformation is taking place when it comes to CBD products. It is growing from a sub-category to a full-blown industry and should be treated as such. This creates a tremendous opportunity for those who are looking to become more involved with the growth of CBD.

What Is Delta-8-THC?

Author: Casey

For those who don’t know, Delta 8 THC is a drug that comes from the cannabis plant. It gives people the feeling of being high however it has numerous medical properties and advantages. THC is essentially the part of the marijuana plant that gets people high and for that reason it is stronger, whereas CBD doesn’t have the THC component in it and people only enjoy the benefits of it without getting stoned.

So you might ask yourself why do people even bother trying out Delta-8-THC? To understand this you need to know that before Delta-8-THC, there is another drug called Delta-9-THC which is far more potent than the latter but it is helpful to treat people who are going through strong medical procedures like chemotherapy or even people with HIV. Delta-8-THC came out as a substitute of Delta-9-THC as it seems to have the benefits of the other without the strong side effects that come from it.

Nowadays, Delta-8 is increasing in popularity and people can find it in different products like gummies, e-cigarettes, and even vape cartridges. The main reason is that Delta 8-THC has some of the effects that Delta-9-THC causes, but without making you feel drowsy or nauseous. Because of the soft effect that it has, it is even used on kids with cancer as a form of treatment that is not as invasive and brutal. But more than that, people who suffer from slightly less severe medical conditions can also use Delta-8-THC because of its potential benefits. For that reason, check out this blog post to understand in a more clear manner how Delta-8-THC has become more popular because of its diverse advantages.

The benefits of Delta-8-THC

This powerful cannabinoid is popular as it doesn’t have the paranoia effect that people suffer from Delta-9-THC, which is great because it helps you to remain lucid throughout the experience. For instance, taking Delta-8-THC can also help people deal with insomnia and lack of sleep, it helps people to alleviate the feeling of anxiety, and even to treat chronic pain.

Having a lower impact on people, Delta-8 is being used for its psychoactive and analgesic properties, while it also makes people hungry. This drug can be compared to CBD in certain aspects as it can help manage stress and anxiety in a better way than Delta-9.

What does taking Delta-8-THC Feel Like?

For people wondering what the effect of Delta-8-THC feels like, it’s very much like the feeling of getting stoned but because of its low concentration, people don’t get the feeling of paranoia or being alarmed, like they do when consuming regular Delta-9. People feel more relaxed as the effects aren’t as abrupt. You feel more in control and able to focus better, just like mentioned previously you are lucid and in control of your body. This is for people who want to experience the benefits of Delta-8 without feeling that they can’t work or function properly. Delta-8 has calming and soothing effects that people feel very comfortable trying out and for that reason, it has become quite popular.

Study Shows Using Chemo and CBD for Cancer Triples Survival Rates

Author: Aaron Cadena

One of the most popular topics in the industry today is using hemp-derived CBD for Cancer.

With only slight changes in life expectancy over the last 40 years and cancer rates on the rise, cancer is an epidemic of the modern world with experts everywhere searching for a solution, synthetic or natural.

With chemotherapy being one of the most widely practiced cancer treatments, some experts believe a natural treatment could be more effective.

Due to its unique properties and effectiveness in providing relief for many other conditions, experts have looked to Cannabidiol (CBD), the non-psychoactive Cannabis compound, as a realistic solution, and have seen positive results.

With human lives at stake here, the ultimate question is, which is more effective?

With strong arguments on both sides, a study just published in July 2018 may indicate that neither side is right or wrong.
CBD for pancreatic cancer
In the study, researchers found that when using Chemotherapy with CBD for cancer, it inhibited the proliferation rate of cancer cells and tripled the survival rate of mice with pancreatic cancer.

That’s right. Tripled.

While some might say that this is a singular situation or a luck of the draw, research indicates otherwise.

A 2013 study found that the combination of therapies decreased the reproduction of cancer cells, while many others found that the combination actually helped repair damaged cells and helped maintain the balance of healthy cells in the body.

CBD is still classified as a schedule 1 drug in the United States, and because of this it cannot be used in human trials; however, in other countries where CBD is seen as a medical breakthrough, medical professionals are finding consistent and positive results when treating human cancer patients with CBD.

David DiSalvo of Forbes puts in his statement on the study: “The more we learn about the potential of these compounds, the more it seems clear that decades of research being blocked by federal law deprived us of medical advances that are only now starting to surface.”

While federal law may continue to impede research, and some “experts” will continue to claim that the findings are “inconclusive,” the evidence is starting to stack up and become overwhelming clear – CBD could just be the miracle we need in our fight against cancer.
