One of the most popular topics in the industry today is using hemp-derived CBD for Cancer.

With only slight changes in life expectancy over the last 40 years and cancer rates on the rise, cancer is an epidemic of the modern world with experts everywhere searching for a solution, synthetic or natural.

With chemotherapy being one of the most widely practiced cancer treatments, some experts believe a natural treatment could be more effective.

Due to its unique properties and effectiveness in providing relief for many other conditions, experts have looked to Cannabidiol (CBD), the non-psychoactive Cannabis compound, as a realistic solution, and have seen positive results.

With human lives at stake here, the ultimate question is, which is more effective?

With strong arguments on both sides, a study just published in July 2018 may indicate that neither side is right or wrong.
CBD for pancreatic cancer
In the study, researchers found that when using Chemotherapy with CBD for cancer, it inhibited the proliferation rate of cancer cells and tripled the survival rate of mice with pancreatic cancer.

That’s right. Tripled.

While some might say that this is a singular situation or a luck of the draw, research indicates otherwise.

A 2013 study found that the combination of therapies decreased the reproduction of cancer cells, while many others found that the combination actually helped repair damaged cells and helped maintain the balance of healthy cells in the body.

CBD is still classified as a schedule 1 drug in the United States, and because of this it cannot be used in human trials; however, in other countries where CBD is seen as a medical breakthrough, medical professionals are finding consistent and positive results when treating human cancer patients with CBD.

David DiSalvo of Forbes puts in his statement on the study: “The more we learn about the potential of these compounds, the more it seems clear that decades of research being blocked by federal law deprived us of medical advances that are only now starting to surface.”

While federal law may continue to impede research, and some “experts” will continue to claim that the findings are “inconclusive,” the evidence is starting to stack up and become overwhelming clear – CBD could just be the miracle we need in our fight against cancer.
